VILE ANIMAL. HE SHOULD BE BANNED FROM EVERY NETBALL AWAY GROUND IN THE COUNTRY.

Posted by Josh Grainger on March 1, 2013 at 16:44 0 Comments

Earlier today an article was published in the Sun newspaper, reporting a supposed affair between Sheffield Wednesday manager and otherwise admirer of Leeds fans, Dave Jones, and Netball player / coach, Sara-Louise Hale.

When Dave Jones brings his Sheffield Wednesday side (if he's still in charge) to Elland Road in six weeks time, prior to the emergence of such vile behaviour from Mr.Jones, he would have bound to have received a loving reception. Rumours that some of Leeds'…

REVIEW: Southampton FC Vs. Sunderland AFC - 22nd December 2012

Posted by Andrew McClintock on December 23, 2012 at 15:00 0 Comments

It was a cold and wet afternoon at St.Mary's, where 2,000 Sunderland supporters were hoping for only their second away win in the league so far. They could have taken the lead within 30 seconds through Stephane Sessegnon's long-range effort, but ex-Sunderland goalkeeper, Kelvin Davis was equal to it. Southampton looked to press forward through Gaston Ramirez and Emmanuel Mayuka, but Sunderland's usually unreliable defence, held firm. It wasn't until the 42nd minute when Stephane Sessegnon's…

Brighton v Leeds - Preview

Posted by Josh Grainger on November 2, 2012 at 13:29 0 Comments

Leeds travel to the south coast in a somewhat similar fashion to last season. On the back of a league cup fixture, on a Friday night. Last season however, Leeds were dumped out by the competition in the third round by ‘that lot over the Pennines’, unlike this season where Leeds were drawn out the hat to face Chelsea in the quarter finals. After coasting past premier league side Southampton with a 3-0 victory on Tuesday night, confidence is bound to be high amongst the Leeds squad. The…

Excitement and Creativity lacking for Whites.

Leeds’ defeat at the hands of Birmingham City on Saturday was a sad reality to what has been lacking from Neil Warnock’s side at times this season. Boring, flat and lacking are just some of the words that have been used to describe the underwhelming performance by the Whites on Saturday. The fixture was a real chance to gain 3 points after back to back draws against teams fighting around the bottom half…

'All you need is Diouf!' - Leeds Utd's season so far

When Leeds United defeated Wolves on the opening day of the Championship, at Elland Road, most Leeds fans would have hoped it would be a typical performance of Neil Warnock’s Leeds United this season. A hard fought and deserved 1-0 victory, showing a lot of passion, dedication and bravery from Neil Warnock’s men. At the same time a no-nonsense style of play, the likes of Jason Pearce and Rodolph Austin’s ‘get a sniff of the ball and boot it clear’ philosophy didn’t seem to bother the Leeds…See More

We're The Famous Luton Town And We're Off To Wembley !!!!!

Sunday 20th May 2012 is probably the most important date in the clubs recent history as we meet York City at Wembley Stadium in the Play-off final of the Blue Square Premier League . The winners will gain promotion back to the Football League , where Luton Town surely belong. After a very disappointing season under former manager Gary Brabin , fortunes suddenly turned when he was replaced by Paul Buckle . Performances and results soon improved which saw  us  scrape into the play-off semi final…See More

Leeds Utd Transfer Update 15 / 5 / 2012

We're here on the 15th May and Leeds have just the one signing to their name. Jason Pearce, at first I wasn't sure what to think when we signed him, it's fair to say I'd heard little of him, and as a result couldn't make a fair assessment, but after a few checks of Portsmouth fan pages, and a few videos on Youtube, it was clear to me that Warnock had brought in a very promising player. Pearce plays in the centre of defence, and started nearly every game for Portsmouth last season, he also…See More

What are the criteria for playing for England?

This has been a burning question in my mind for some time!  Why do some players get regularly picked for England while others get overlooked? The ever increasing recent popularity of Southampton’s Rickie Lambert and Norwich’s Grant Holt has brought the question to everyone’s attention.Rickie has been a prolific scorer in…See More

Roy Hodgson - England Manager?

Most of you will have already heard the news that over the weekend The FA made an approach to West Bromwich Albion for the services of their current manager.  I must admit even to me this came as a bit of a shock.  Not because I have doubts in Roy’s ability or think that he would make a bad England manager, my doubts are purely down to the…See More

Pat Rice – My Mr Arsenal

We Gooners talk a lot about Arsenal legends, Thierry Henry, Cliff Bastin, David O’Leary, Liam Brady, Tony Adams and Herbert Chapman to name but a few.  One perhaps we don’t appreciate as much as we should is still at the club.  Patrick James Rice was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland on 17th March 1949.Pat grew up in London and…See More
